BTFN Neal, I was onboard a little after the beginning of your tour in deck dept.  I was seaman apprentice George Reices.  I was injured onboard the Cochrane when we were on our way with the battle group on a cruise, when we encountered rough seas and I was mess cranking in the wardroom when we took a beam-shot roll and I was thrown across the boardroom and we had to return to Yokosuka to be taken to hospital.  If you remember who I am, would like to hear from you shipmate!  God Bless!

This is retired YNC(SW) Chris Caton, was ship's sec on board from 84-87. I remembered you guys.
Discovered this wed site when I was visiting the VA in Winston Salem, NC last month. The counselor was ex navy also. Looking forward to see how many shipmates are still around.

Yeah, I checked onboard in 84 about 3 days before an emergency underway to go rescue a fleet tug halfway between Japan and Hawaii. 30 foot seas! I was on until 1/88. Had a lot of good times in westpac. As I'm going through the crew list, I remember a lot of these guys and bringing back a lot of memories!
