I was using trichlorethylene to clean the type on a printing machine i had to use as part of my job. I was in  a room with no ventilation and inhaled the chemical sometimes on a daily basis straight from the can, that was in 1982. I was working for debenhams as part of the window display team and did not realise (stupidly) the symptoms, stomach cramp, diarreoh, intense haedache, blurred vision and one time my nose ran like a tap. I also had a problem if after drinking just one half during my lunch break, I'd be totally wrecked. I would get up in the morning for work and be overcome by nausea, i'd strip off all my clothes and was white as a sheet on the bathroom floor hanging over the toilet basin. I was 17 back then ,I know it must sound rediculous, but didn't even visit the doctor. No-one around me in work even clicked. I left in 1985.

Your best source of information for the effects of TCE would be the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for that product. Good luck.
