Was just wondering if anybody knows whatever became of the forming of U.S.S. Cochrane ship association. Did this endeavor fall by the wayside or what? Last I heard, it was in the works and some legal matters or something was holding it up. Just wondering if this is still in the works. If anybody can let me know about this, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Good question. I do know that we are an actual association, at least on paper. The association that we do have is not active. Most of the elected officers have opted to back out and the rest of us are just too busy to take on a monumental task such as this. There has been quite a bit of time, money and effort spent to get us to this point and much more needs to be done. Until we find some (retired) people that have the time and ambition to move forward, this will likely be the case for some time to come. I wish that I could give everyone better news but these are the facts.
