Does anyone know if Desron 25 still exists, and has anyone ever tried to get a Yellow Pineapple Fleet patch??? I tried to find out and was sent thru San Diego, and they must have thought I was from John Paul Jone's Navy as they never acknowledged the letter.

Save your money on the 1/700 scale of Cochrane. Several of us have been burned on this one. It's too small to even put together. My ole eyes can't even see the pcs. that are to be put together.

I believe we have over looked the fact that we were lucky to
have our ship come out in a model. Usually its a carrier, battleship, or new design destroyer. I bought two, one to leave unopen the other to put together. I don't feel ripped off, I felt good when I came accross it. If anything its a great color picture.

I more than agree with you about the picture, but those of us who were on the Cochrane in 64 to about 67 would have a hell of a time with those little tiny pieces and decals, etc. Our eyes and fingers aren't what they used to be. Besides, I would bet that we can find a regular sized model somewhere. I have one that is still in the box too, but I'm afraid I would trash it if I tried to get those tiny gun mounts, or radar things (have no idea what they were called because I was a corpsman).

Shit Coop, at your age, you probably can't even hit the urinal, even if you could see it. :)
