Well, I have to admit I was ecstatic to find this forum. How many plankowners are there out there? I was one of many that went to the grand old gal directly out of bootcamp and celebrated my 17th birthday in Bremerton quarters waiting to get aboard. During those days, I didn't know the significance of a "plank owner", but as time draws on-you find its kinda nice. I started as a yeoman striker in the ships office. I ran the library (such as it was) among other duties. Of those of you that can remember (its been a long time for me), they put me in that tiny little office directly across from the ship's office and the ladder to the 01 deck. Got my striker designation and made YN3 before I left. Anybody out there?

You can go to the crew list and sort by the P.O. field. That will sort out all of the plank owners that have signed it.
