Does anyone have any funny stories from the Phillipines? I remember the time when Gerbil, Gonzalez and I left for Angeles City from Olongapo. That was a trip of a life time. We went our separate ways upon arrival. But I visited every Bar on the strip. I still have headbands from that trip. I think I ended up with about 25 of them. I picked up this little girl from the Pussy Cat club. She said she was 18. But only had a very sparse amount of hair below her head. (If
you know what I mean). I ended up at her house where her parents and little sister were. The little sister wanted to join us, but I refused that. I also I felt I better not hang around because of embarrassment. With the parents being there even though they were very friendly they also said that I should take both girls before I left. So I feel guilty about that, but it was really enjoyable.[:)]

Jenks, I'm pretty sure that all of us have our P.I. stories. As for me, I still have very fond memories of the place! When we went on the 79 SouthPac, it was my first cruise and had heard alot from my older shipmate about P.I. Found it hard to believe some of the things that they told me. But when we hit the beach in Olongapo, I was just like a
little kid in a Candy Store! I wasn't a virgin at the time, but wasn't
all that experienced either. Boy did I ever learn a thing or two from those bargirls! By the time we left there, I felt like a full fledged
stud. Hard to believe what Mojo can do for you! When we were there, P.I. was still under marshall law and if I remember correctly we had to be off the streets by 12:00 AM. So you had to get alot of partying in, in a very short time. We had a great R Div. party at the Galaxy Hotel in Subic City, which most of I don't remember due to some heavy
drinking. But do remember the sweet little Thai girl that I hooked up with that night. Boy, to only be young again! Made several other visits to P.I. afterwards, but my first visit while aboard the Cochrane will always stand out as my favorite!

We've all got fond memories of of the PI. One CO, Blair didn't. He thought it a nest of depravity (he was likely right) and woul take us from the pier to anchor in the bay for holidays and paydays. Twinkling lights and an occaisional wiff of Sh!t River was our only solace. To counter we developed 'Psuedo Liberty'. You might try it to assuage those wistful memories. In no particular order: toss all your money off the fan tail; chew a turd; smash your head against the bulkhead and slam your cock in a drawer. Then when you wake in the morning your money's gone, you've a headache, your mouth tastes like sh!t and your dick's sore....just like a night on Magsaysay.

I remember going up to Angeles City on leave, not liberty. Something like the third day into it, a hurricane hits and everybody gets recalled to the ship. Since we were on leave, we didn't think that we had to go back, but we tried anyway...The Victory Liner we took back couldn't get through, so we went back to Angeles to wait it out at the Marlim Mansions.
When we get back that Dickhead Blair had us all at Captain's Mast to bust us all for missing ship's movement. When we testified what happened, he had to let us go.

Man, I hated that guy...He was the black hole of happiness. When I googled his name about five years ago and saw that he made it the whole way to CINCPAC, I nearly crapped my pants. Just goes to show 'ya, it's not who ya know, but who ya...ah well, y'all know the rest

Who can forget the Philippines and Subic Bay? Being in deck force we took over an entire bar the first day of liberty, the picture in the “79” Cruise book shows us all surrounded by the hot little chicks and more than one ugly one. I remember pulling into P.I. and some of the crew was watching porno on the close circuit TV system. I did not think that was wise, considering the chance that we may not all...get liberty. Anyway some of the more conservative sailors complained and just about when the cork was ready to explode...the TV went blank. Oh Well![:D]

I was also invited to an OS party in Subic City and a hotel right next Cathy’s Lounge I think it was called the Diamond Club, about 12 of us kicked in about $100 each for the weekend, all the women, sex, booze and food we could handle. . I fondly remember Cathy’s “Home Of The Fastest *&%#Suckers In The World” that was actually painted on the front of the building, had my first experience of “Nights Of The Roundtable” at Cathy’s.

It was a wild time I have never forgotten. When I came home and told my civilian friends they could not believe what it was like. I called it “The Ugly Man’s Paradise”. To go into detail about our adventures and escapades in the Philippines would be like reading pornography...and we need to keep this site kid friendly...right!

I have some Philippinos working for me and one is retired Chief. I also have my last commanding officer working for me also, he is now a good friend, along with the retired chief…the three if us spend a lot of time reminiscing about our days on the seas.
