I think I remember throwing at sampans, but I mostly remember throwing spuds at gulls following behind us. You hit one, and that stupid thing gave a yelp and came back for more.

I remember throwing potatoes at the yard birds riding their bicycles along the edge of the drydock when we were in dry dock in 67. I remember an unnamed EM with one hell of an arm knocking the hardhat off of one. We never got caught but I remember Chief DePew giving us a stern warning at quarters. I still laugh at it. It's really great having never grown up.
