If you are refering to the Commanding Officers Annual History Reports then yes. They are stored at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington D.C. As I understand it from talking to the person who got them for the Buchanan, all that one needs to do is to go there, get the proper "shoe box" and go to the copy machine. Thiers was over 100 pages. It is a little far for me to go since I am in Nevada so I havent pursued the idea. This cannot be done by mail, the only way is in person. Any volunteers from the D.C. area? To see the Buchanan's logs you can go here annualhistory.uss-buchanan-ddg14.org/

What a great addition those reports would be for the site.

Re obtaining logbook copies in Washington D. C.--

I have some friends from my past as a labor union leader who are based in D. C. who could possibly get the copies for me. Let me know.

Paul, I hope that they are good friends of yours. As I understand it, it is a time consuming and tedious task. If you think that you have a distinct possibility of having someone do that, let me know what other information you need and I will try to get it for you.
